The annual Inc. 5000 list is live. Digital health companies on the list include AngelEye Health, Authenticx, DAS Health, FarmboxRX, ixlayer, Mytonomy, Reveleer, TigerConnect, TimelyCare, Valenz Health, Veda, and Vytalize Health.
Healthcare organizations are only using 57% of their data to drive decision-making, according to a survey from Arcadia. and HIMSS. The primary barriers to expanding the use of analytics are competing priorities, staffing challenges, and insufficient budget.
Only 45% of consumers are fully satisfied with their health insurance, according to a survey from HealthEdge, and 40% blame insurers for the high cost of care. That said, 66% trust their health plan more that the government or non-traditional entities such as Amazon or Walmart to their health insurance.

- Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration chose HHS Technology Group to streamline Medicaid provider management.
- UConn Health chose Force Therapeutics for musculoskeletal digital care management.
- San Diego Health Connect chose 4medica to improve patient matching and health data quality.
- Kentucky-based Mountain Comprehensive Care Center chose Accelecom for fiber Internet, in large part to expand telehealth services.
- Rhode Island-based Care New England selected Kyndryl to manage its EMR consolidation.
Awards
- HHS announced two 2023 LEAP in Health IT awardees: Western New York’s HIE, HEALTHeLINK, for its use of Advanced FHIR capabilities, and Boston Children’s Hospital for identifying data quality improvements for USCDI data elements.
- ChristianaCare CISO Anahi Santiago received the Routhy Award, given to one healthcare cybersecurity professional each year.
- The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill received a $3.7 million NIH grant to establish the Center for Virtual Care Value and Equity (ViVE).
