- Anthropic introduced Claude for Healthcare, a set of AI products to help patients connect their records using HealthEx and providers automate coding, prior authorization, and reporting tasks (it connects to federal registries).
- Epic filed a lawsuit against Health Gorilla, alleging the interoperability platform and various shell companies improperly accessed nearly 300,000 patient records under the guise of treatment but instead selling the records to attorneys.
- NVIDIA and Eli Lilly and Company announced an AI co-innovation lab for drug discovery, with the companies collectively investing up to $1 billion over 5 years. In addition, NVIDIA expanded NVIDIA BioNeMo, its open development platform for drug discovery.
- The Sequoia Project released the draft Pharmacy Care: Use Cases for Health Information Exchange; the document is open for public comment until February 13.
Studies
- Only 6% of healthcare organizations are very confident in their ability to detect, contain, and recover from a cyber incident, according to a report from Fortified Health Security. Additionally, just 4% of healthcare leaders expressed strong confidence third-party vendor risk assessments align with actual risk.
- Research from FinThrive found 56% of healthcare organizations say automation and AI represent their most significant area of investment across all business goals in 2026.

- Patient engagement vendor Advokare has partnered with xCures to expand access to patient data.
- Real-world evidence vendor ConcertAI is collaborating with Foundation Medicine, a precision medicine company, to combine their data assets for life sciences research.
- Social care platform Findhelp is integrated SimplePractice, an EHR and practice management platform in behavioral health, allowing patients to view providers’ available and schedule appointments directly.
- Automated pharmacy operations workflows from Foundation Health are now integrated with Shields Health Solutions‘ specialty pharmacy services.
- Drug pricing data (including discounted cash prices) from GoodRx is now integrated with Surescripts‘ new patient-facing product, Script Corner.
- Biometric data from Oura Ring is now integrated with Fullscript, a whole-person care platform.

- Real-world evidence vendor Atropos Health announced Commercial Analytics solutions for life science.
- CytoReason unveiled LINA, an AI agent powered by NVIDIA designed to support pharmaceutical R&D.
- Penguin Ai launch its HCC Coding & Risk Adjustment solution on Snowflake Marketplace, where it’s available as a Snowflake Native App.
- PointClickCare announced Referral Advisor, which will be available to select skilled nursing facilities later this month.
- Teladoc Health enhanced its 24/7 Care service; providers can check prescription benefits in real-time, make referrals, and treat a wider range of conditions virtually.
- Truveta introduced Truveta Live Link, which lets life sciences organizations connect their proprietary data with Truveta’s real-world clinical data in an integrated environment.

- Oregon-based Advanced Health selected 1upHealth to help support payer-to-payer data exchange and care coordination for its Medicaid population.
- Central New York’s Community Memorial Hospital is implementing Oracle Health, including Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent.

- AVIA introduced two new Nexus Collaboratives: Zero Documentation (reducing paperwork burdens) and Connected Care Anywhere (for supporting hybrid care models).
- Radiology operations software maker CIVIE earned HITRUST e1 Certification.
- Speech recognition documentation vendor Solventum was designated an Accelerator partner in the MEDITECH Alliance.

- Clinical research organization Veristat maned Kim McLean Boericke as CEO.
