- The University of Mississippi Medical Center – the state’s lone academic medical center – remains closed for clinical and elective procedures following a Feb. 19 ransomware attack, though its hospitals and emergency departments remain open. The Clarion Ledger reported that it’s too soon to tell the full extent of the breach.
- ASTP/ONC launched the EHIgnite Challenge for organizations interested in innovating solutions to transform raw electronic health information into actionable insights for patients and clinicians. Submissions should create a “usable, readable summary” of information and address one of five additional scenarios.

- Seventy percent of healthcare companies are actively using AI, with 69% using generative AI and LLMs, according to an NVIDIA report.
- A survey from Edge found 76% of healthcare leaders say administrative workloads have increased in the last 12 months and are “overwhelming” their organizations.
- Insider breaches cost healthcare and life sciences organizations nearly $29 million, according to a DTEX report. That’s 48% higher than the average insider risk cost of $19.5 million across all industries.

- Consultancy Ellit Groups selected Talkdesk Healthcare Experience Cloud as its core contact center as a service platform.
- HealthEdge launched the HealthEdge GuidingCare Decision Intelligence Ecosystem with three clinical AI vendors to help health plans optimize utilization management.

- Azara Healthcare launched patient Smart Summaries to help healthcare organizations identify care gaps.
- Smart ring maker Circular announced Team Dashboard to help hospitals and health systems monitor biometric data.
