- AI security firm Mindgard identified flaws in Doctronic, that chatbot that the state of Utah has allowed to prescribe medication renewals without human intervention. The company was able to exploit Doctronic’s prompts and make it do things such as triple the recommended dose of an opioid.
Studies
- More than 80% of healthcare CEOs expect AI to have a transformative or significant impact within two years, according to an EY survey.
- Research from Kyndryl found 76% of healthcare organizations report having more AI pilot programs than they can scale.
- A Rhapsody survey found 76% of healthcare leaders say interoperability is now a top strategic priority. Uneven execution helps to explain why, as 23% of organizations spend more than 20 hours per week troubleshooting integration issues. Additionally, Rhapsody announced Rhapsody Axon, an AI agent for data integration workflows.
- More than half of physicians (56%) struggle to find relevant data for patient visits, according to a report from athenahealth, and 69% report difficulty accessing recent medical history from outside providers.
- A Tebra survey found 69% of Americans have been surprised by the final cost of a routine medical service.
- Research from energy technology company Schneider Electric found digital retrofits such as power monitoring software can reduce total hospital energy consumption up to 18%.

- Healthcare-specific AI capabilities from Autonomize AI have been integrated with the ServiceNow AI Platform.
- Virtual cardiometabolic care company 9amHealth is partnering with Withings Health Solutions to make connected scales and blood pressure monitors available to members.
- Clinical policies from the American College of Emergency Physicians are now available in Vera Health, a clinical search engine.
- First Databank’s FDB Vela ePrescribing Network is now connected with Photon Health‘s digital prescription marketplace.
- Supplement recommendations from Fullscript are now available in ChiroTouch Cloud, an EHR and practice management platform for chiropractic care.
- Enterprise Access Management from Imprivata is now integrated with the Netskope One platform and its Zero Trust Engine.
- LexisNexis Risk Solutions expanded its integration with Epic to offer additional identity verification capabilities in the Epic Connection Hub.
- Pivot Point Consulting is partnership with Microsoft‘s Rural Health Resiliency Program to expand access to Microsoft Dragon Copilot. In addition, Optum is working with Microsoft to introduce provider-focused capabilities within the real-time claims system Optum Real.
- xCures announced a partnership with careMESH, which delivering EHR-integrated referral management and care coordination.

- Workforce management platform Deputy launched Deputy Payroll, enabled by Paycor. It’s designed for managing shift-based workforces in healthcare and other verticals.
- Hyland unveiled Hyland Intelligent MedRecords and Hyland Intelligent Correspondence for Revenue Cycle.
- Inflo Health launched a cardiology care management suite to address care gaps across three of the most costly and prevalent cardiovascular conditions.
- Medbridge introduced an Occupational Health Pathway to address significant causes of work-related musculoskeletal issues.
- MEDHOST announces MEDHOSTone, which it describes as a next-generation EHR system.
- Quest Diagnostics announced Quest AI Companion to help patients understand and act on their lab test results.
- SEQSTER PDM launched 1-Click DataLake, a real world data platform for life sciences and healthcare

- The Seattle area’s Overlake Medical Center & Clinics selected Hyro, an AI agent for patient access and contact center operations.
- Florida-based Starkey Ranch ER & Hospital chose Juno Health as its EHR partner to replace its current system.
- Boston-based Beth Israel Lahey Health selected Retarus cloud-based messaging and communication systems.

- Lumina Health Partners joined ECG Management Consultants and will integrate with ECG’s Payer Strategy and Contracting Division.
- Diagnostics company Novigenix announced the formal spin-out of Novigenix AI, a new precision medicine company.
- RecovryAI received an FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for its Virtual Care Assistants; the company also emerged from stealth.
- Surescripts exceeded 30 billion transactions in 2025, the company said in its latest annual report.

- Contract research organization CellCarta appointed Dr. Ehab A. El-Gabry as Chief Medical Officer and Head of Companion Diagnostics.
- Senior care technology company LivTech appointed Ron Kozlin as Chief Financial Officer and Andrew Goode as VP of Development.
- Nationwide interoperability framework Carequality appointed Lee Barrett as Executive Director.
