Trusted Health, a leading healthcare workforce technology company, today announced its acquisition of ShiftOS, developer of Holly, an agentic scheduling platform deployed across hospitals, health systems, and other complex workforces.
The acquisition will accelerate the agentic capabilities of Trusted Works, Trusted Health’s staffing and scheduling optimization platform for hospitals and health systems. ShiftOS’s technology will strengthen Works.AI, the intelligence layer powering the platform’s ability to anticipate workforce demand, optimize schedules, and automate shift fulfillment.
Holly — purpose-built by a clinician-led team — coordinates day-to-day workforce operations, including scheduling, call-offs, shift swaps, paid-time-off requests, license tracking, and compliance monitoring. Across its deployments, including top academic medical centers such as NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Holly has adapted to each organization’s workflows, labor rules, and operational controls and supported workforces ranging from 25 to more than 2,000 employees, helping managers recover a quarter of their time each week.
Unlike conventional scheduling software augmented with individual AI features, Holly was designed from the ground up around an agent-first architecture. Its system coordinates over 50 specialized AI agents responsible for discrete workforce tasks and uses continuous evaluation, benchmarking, and feedback to improve their performance. This architecture enables Holly to understand requests across multiple channels, coordinate work across systems, and complete approved actions — not simply recommend them.
