  • HHS released TEFCA Version 2.1 a couple days before Thanksgiving. The agency noted two key changes from the v2.0 release in January. One outlines how ASTP (formerly ONC) will help resolve disputes among QHINs about use of exchange purposes. The other establishes a framework for assessing organizations planning to participate in TEFCA.
  • With help from the Symani Surgical System, physicians at NYU’s Perlmutter Cancer Center performed physician-directed microsurgery on a prostate cancer patient. Previously, patients in this position needed their bladder removed.
