News and Studies
- ASTP/ONC published two blogs posts on TEFCA in recent weeks. The first outlined the policy triangle of HIPAA, TEFCA, and information blocking – all of which indicate entities should be sharing data. The second described guidance from The Sequoia Project (which coordinates TEFCA) on streamlining government benefits determination.
- Nearly half (46%) of Americans over 50 engage with digital health tools, according to research from AARP. That’s a sharp increase from 35% just one year ago. AARP said more seniors view tech as an “ally” for healthy aging.
- A Deloitte survey found 43% of healthcare leaders are uncertain or neutral about the industry’s near-term outlook, an increase from 28 last year. Regulatory and government policy uncertainty is the biggest reason why.
- A Sage Growth Partners report found 77% of health system and hospital C-suites plan to increase participation in value-based care models in the next two years – though only 20% believe the industry has made progress toward VBC.
- According to Wolters Kluwer Health, 56% of physician assistants use AI daily, and 19% rely on AI extensively. In other news, the American Board of Medical Specialties selected Ovid Synthesis as an official quality improvement workflow platform, while Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust adopted UpToDate Enterprise Edition.

- Identity verification from CLEAR is now integrated with Welldoc‘s platform for managing cardiometabolic health.
- The RxInform prescription notification product from DrFirst is now integrated into Tebra‘s EHR+ platform.
- Lindus Health and Quotient Sciences are partnering to enhance patient recruitment for Phase I-IIa clinical trials.
- Microsoft Dragon Copilot will be embedded directly into athenaOne in the first half of 2026.

- IQVIA subsidiary Cedar Gate Technologies launched technology and support services for organizations participating in bundled payments, whether commercial prospective bundles or the mandatory CMS TEAM program.
- eClinical Solutions announced AI agents to help manage growing data volumes in Phase III clinical trials.
- Included Health introduced Dot by Included Health, an AI assistant to help health plans give guidance to members.
- Real-time-location systems provider Kontakt.io launched an AI agent for optimizing outpatient room assignments.
- Momentum launched Open Wearables, an open-source platform that wearable device data in a single API.
- Sleep.ai launched Sleep Sense, which gathers sleep data via smartphone without requiring wearables or hardware.

- WellSpan Health expanded its deployment of Aidoc radiology AI to 9 hospitals and more than 250 care locations.
- Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center selected Conifer Health Solutions to support end-to-end RCM operations.
- Florida-based family health center 26Health expanded its NuvemRx partnership with announced plans to open its first pharmacy in Orlando

- Lightbeam Health Solutions achieved Population Health Management Prevalidation from NCQA.
- Sleep and breathing technology vendor Resmed received FDA clearance for Personalized Therapy Comfort Settings, which will be marketed as Smart Comfort.
- Sentact launched its new, unified brand, bringing clinical operations companies Hardenbergh Group, Preverity, and National Credentialing Solutions under the Sentact name.
- WellSky’s CarePort Community Referral Network solution is now part of the Epic Toolbox category for Community Resource Network.
People
- HeliosX, which specializes in chronic condition management and operates an online pharmacy, appointed Dr. Bryony Henderson as Medical Director for the EU and U.S.
- WEDI announced its 2026 Board of Directors and Officers, which includes three new board members, seven reelected board members, and six officers.
- Hypertension management company Blend Health Technologies appointed Dr. Luke Laffin to its advisory board.
